Editorial Policy

AD18 Local publishes useful Canadian and local-business information that fits the AD18 marketplace and Business Directory audience. Content should help readers discover, understand or evaluate relevant local businesses and topics.

We do not publish thin pages created only to host commercial links, keyword-stuffed articles, fabricated rankings or unrelated sponsored material.

AD18 does not knowingly invent business facts, awards, reviews, testimonials, safety claims or unsupported superlatives. Claims should be supported by appropriate source material or information supplied by the business and suitable for publication.

AD18 retains editorial control over titles, article copy, factual claims, links, disclosures and the final publication decision.

Paid business features are clearly identified as sponsored content, normally with a “Sponsored by [Business]” disclosure near the top of the article.

Paid external business links are qualified appropriately, including rel="sponsored" where applicable. AD18 does not sell guaranteed rankings, indexing, PageRank transfer, traffic, leads or specific search outcomes.

Payment is for sponsored coverage and distribution within the agreed package. It does not remove AD18's right to edit, reject, update, unpublish or remove material that becomes inaccurate, misleading, unsuitable or non-compliant.

If an AD18 Local article contains a material factual error, send the article URL, the disputed information and supporting details to support@ad18.ca.

AD18 may correct, clarify or update published material when reliable information supports a change. Requests do not guarantee that an article will be altered or removed.
